Gav's passions are for the great outdoors, climbing, mountaineering, adventure racing, and archery. CrossFit gives him the best all-round fitness for these, without having to spend hours in the gym or pounding the pavement getting the miles in.
He is a practitioner of Krav Maga (Israeli unarmed combat) and finds CrossFit gives him the explosive fitness and endurance needed for martial arts.
Having served for nine years in the Royal Marine Commandos, Gav has the experience to provide training advice for members who want to join the armed forces.

Emma started CrossFit in 2015 with the aim of improving her strength and fitness for volleyball. She loved it so much that she gave up volleyball to concentrate on CrossFit!
Emma now works alongside Gavin at CrossFit Loughborough, creating and delivering killer workouts for members. She also helps deliver nutrition seminars, providing guidance on eating for health, performance, fat loss and muscle gain.
